Partner Optalysys recently participated in a workshop dedicated to privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs), hosted by the Information Commissioner’s Office. The event, held on February 20th, 2024, in London, provided Optalysys with valuable networking opportunities and fostered insightful discussions on the PHOENIX PROJECT Photonics.

At the workshop, Optalysys engaged with peers from various sectors, including UK regulators and industry leaders in the Privacy Enhancing Technology field such as Microsoft, Lloyds Bank, NHS England, and the UK Police. The focus of the event was to address the challenges organizations face in data sharing and to explore effective solutions, particularly through the implementation of PETs.

Attendees participated in discussions aimed at building a collective understanding of the roles PETs play in data sharing and data protection, emphasizing concepts such as data protection by design and default. The workshop served as a platform for exchanging ideas and strategies to navigate the complexities of privacy and data security in today’s digital landscape.
